Bruce Allen

Bruce Allen is Director of the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Hannover, Germany, as well as Adjunct Professor of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. His research focuses on early universe cosmology and gravitational physics. Allen contributed significantly to the initial detection of gravitational waves in February 2016 at the LIGO Scientific Collaboration where he also serves at the Executive Committee. Bruce Allen is an elected Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Institute of Physics and a member of the Advisory Committee of the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research.
